The DOMMINIO project was delighted to be hosted at the 12th EASN International Conference on “Innovation in Aviation & Space to the Satisfaction of the European Citizens”, which took place between 18 and 20 October 2022 in Barcelona, Spain. 

Having reached the halfway point of its 42 months lifetime, on September 8^th, 2022, the 1^st Review meeting of DOMMINIO took place online, bringing together the Work Package Leaders and the European Commission Project Officer.

On 4 and 5 July 2022, partners from the Consortium had a face-to-face meeting at Vigo, Spain, hosted by AIMEN, with the possibility to attend online for those who could not be there in person.

Currently on the project’s 3rd semester, DOMMINIO’s latest results were wrapped-up on a poster and were presented on JEC World 2022 (3-5 May 2022), by AIMEN project coordinators, and our partners NTUA and IRES.

DOMMNIO’s advancements up to month 18 of the project’s full operations were featured on an article at the May 2022 issue of the European Aeronautics Science Network newsletter.

On November 30^th, 2021, the 1^st DOMMINIO Open Workshop will take place virtually! The agenda will include presentations from industrial and academic stakeholders on thermoplastics, additive manufacturing, and digital manufacturing along with presentations of DOMMINIO results regarding modeling & simulation, multifunctional aerostructures, and additive manufacturing technologies.

On 2 September 2021, the DOMMINIO project participated to the 11^th EASN Virtual International Conference, which took place from 1 to 3 September 2021. This year more than 370 presentations were carried out, rounded up by 9 keynote lectures, covering a wide range of topics with presentations of innovative European projects.

On the 8^th of June, DOMMINIO participated in the “Circular aviation for green growth” online partner event, held in the frame of the European Green Week 2021 to raise awareness about how circularity in the sector of aviation can lead to greener aviation.

The second issue for 2021 of EASN Newsletter is now available, featuring a DOMMINIO article that introduces the project to the aeronautical community!

DOMMINIO was officially launched during its virtual Kick-Off meeting on the 20^th  & 21^st  of January 2021. AIMEN, the project’s coordinator, and the 12 other consortium members gave presentations about their roles within the project and had the opportunity to interact. In the 42-month duration of the project, strong networking relationships are predicted to develop, enabling effective exploitation of the project’s results, ultimately enhancing the its impact.
